Treacle Sponge



2 tsbp golden syrup
110g plain flour
2 ½ tsp baking powder
2 egg
110g soft brown sugar
110g margarine

  1. Put syrup in base of basin
  2. Beat remaining ingredients
  3. Put on top of syrup
  4. Steam for 1 1/5 hours
